It's On! -> Follow our Pike's Peak Blog!

Apple Farmer Update: We are running Pike's Peak International Hillclimb on June 27th, 2010 : Stay tuned for photo blog and more info!

Apple Farmer Racing is based in Royal City, WA - East of the beautiful Cascade Mountains. We are racing our heavily prepared 1967 Volvo 122S in the 2009 La Carrera Panamericana. This legendary Mexican road race runs on public roads over 7 days from the southernmost portion of Mexico all the way to the Texas border. We cover 3100 km in an all-out battle against 100 teams from around the world, including world famous drivers like Stig Blomqvist and Jo Ramirez. We cover every type of terrain, pushing ourselves and our equipment to the absolute limit. This is one of the most intense racing events in the world and we are privileged to compete.

I'm still working on the site right now, getting ready for the 2009 race. As I write this, Richard and Al are already in Huatulco, Mexico. They drove down via the Arizona Border, through Sinaloa, Acapulco and finally Huatulco. Click on the image below to read about our 2008 experience or use the links above to read about the team members or the car. You may also visit the La Carrera website to learn more about the race and its rich history.

Check back starting October 21st, 2009 to follow our racing blog from the road.
